Posh Speaker Systems

Bainbridge Island, Washington, October 15, 2004 - Mr. William Benson, President of U-2 Incorporated, announced today that U-2 Inc., has acquired all of the assets of Posh Speaker Systems, Inc.

Mr. Benson, a successful local businessman and operator of the high end audio retail store Nuts About Hi Fi is quoted as saying, "I have used Posh Speakers as my high end go to ceiling speakers for over ten years. There is really nothing like them in the retail segment, with their patented baffle and chamber assembly. When this opportunity came up, I just couldn't pass it up. Kind of like the fellow that bought Remington Shavers several years ago. I guess I liked the Posh ceiling speakers so much, I just had to buy the company."

Posh Speaker Systems has a 9 point patent on a unique baffle, chamber and grille assembly that mounts between either 16 or 24 inch on center ceiling joists. The proprietary drivers that Posh has designed to mount into the assembled acoustic chamber offers a choice in both price and sound quality. The high-end 928 model received the coveted International Consumer Electronics Show Design and Engineering Showcase Award.

In addition to its' patented ceiling speakers, Posh also manufactures a complete line of chambered in-wall speakers and indoor/outdoor speakers. Posh Speakers and Posh speaker installations have been featured in several custom and commercial installation magazines over the years. Many well-known Hollywood stars and entertainers have chosen Posh Speakers for their home sound systems.

Under the new ownership of U-2 Inc., the 18-year old speaker company will continue to operate as Posh Speaker Systems. Posh will have the same phone numbers and virtually the same address. According to Mr. Benson, many of the former employees will be staying on at Posh. Everyone involved is excited about the energy and new direction that Bill is bringing to Posh.

Mr. Benson, or 'Bill' as he prefers to be called has several innovative plans for the new company. "We will be bringing out a new line of ceiling speakers, as well as other complimentary audio products for both the commercial and residential markets."
